If you want to get a sense of the direction of the shooting sports, hunting and outdoor accessory industry, look no further than the annual SHOT Show. The largest showcase of new product introductions, each year carries a theme. This year, unconventional products from traditional companies grabbed our attention.
Known for AR-15/ M4 rifles and accessories, it’s no surprise the new Daniel Defense Delta5 —the company’s first bolt-action rifle—combines the modularity of their AR platform with custom features sought after by professionals in law enforcement, military and competitive shooting.
Initially chambered in .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor and 7mm-08, the Delta5 provides a custom long-range shooting experience directly out-of-the box. National Sales Manager, Matt Hurt, walked our Joe Kriz through the rifle’s design, including the original action, ergonomic stock, and interchangeable barrel. MSRP of the Delta5 is $2,199.

Hurt also touched on the company’s new 7- and 9-inch Omega Rails, now in both KeyMod and M-LOK. Still two-piece, free float rails systems, the new Omega Rails are the perfect addition to any existing M4, not just those from Daniel Defense. MSRP is in the $260 range.
