The new Springfield Armory Hellcat 15-round magazine, which is only slightly longer than the 13-round extended version, is currently available directly from Springfield Armory with an MSRP of $39.95 and will soon be available from retailers as well. It is offered in both black and Desert FDE.
The Hellcat is available in both standard and OSP (Optical Sight Pistol) versions , with the latter featuring slides cut to accept the smallest micro red-dot sights on the market. The micro 9mm ships with a patented 11-round magazine as well as an extended 13-round magazine, and this newest magazine will allow users to have a full 15+1 rounds of 9mm ammo ready to go.

Joe Kurtenbach, Executive Editor for Guns & Ammo, noted, “I was among the first in the industry to test the Hellcat platform before it was introduced, and I’ve continued to evaluate the new configurations and accessories that have been launched since. I stand by my original assessment that Hellcat is a great step forward for Springfield Armory’s polymer-frame pistol lineup, exhibiting thoughtful design and relentless reliability. Now, as with the Hellcat RDP’s self-indexing compensator , the 15-round magazine adds tangible utility to the gun—literally, you can feel the difference. Not only does it provide more ammunition onboard or in a reload, it allows shooters to easily get a full firing grip for maximum control on the draw and during recoil. The pinky rest and extended base of the 11- and 13-round mags were very good, the grip on the 15-rounder is excellent.”
