The new year means new products, and Shadow Systems brought a few original introductions to Las Vegas for SHOT Show 2024. The company is best known for its enhanced Glock-pattern pistols, which elevate the original design in both form and function. The news for this year is all focused on the business end of these highly touted and thoroughly tested guns.
First up, there are two new compensated pistols being added to the Shadow Systems stable. In the past couple years, we’ve seen the competition-style compensated DR920P and the highly shootable, sub-compact compensated CR920P. Considering the “Duty Role” DR920 is the company’s largest gun and the “Covert Role” CR920 is the smallest, it’s no surprise that this year the mid-size “Multi-Role” MR920 and the crossover XR920 are finally getting “P” models.

That means the comp will engage a lugged, not threaded, barrel. The system will be secure, self-indexing, and easy to maintenance. Prices will around $1,269 for the MR920P and $1,293 for the XR920P, or about $110 more than the base, un-comp’d models. Best of all, expect both guns to be compatible with Glock 17 holsters.

The HS923 is a modular, dual-configuration suppressor, so users can choose whether to run it as a long can for maximum sound suppression or in a more maneuverable compact configuration. Noise reduction is about 33 decibels or 24 decibels, respectively. One of the coolest features may be that it is user adjustable, and the only tool required is the pistol’s slide.
