In this episode “At The Range,” former U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers Tom Beckstrand and Matty Nelson review Geissele’s URGI 5.56, the latest tool used by the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).
The carbine’s chrome-lined barrel was hammer forged by Daniel Defense and boasts a mid-length gas system. It’s protected by Geissele’s Mk 16 13.5-inch M-LOK handguard. Attached to the muzzle is SureFire’s SF4P four-prong flash hider, which can be used to accept the SureFire SOCOM556 RC2 suppressor.
A Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6X scope in a Geissele one-piece mount and a SureFire M600V Scout light completes the loadout, making this kit a true representation of what many operators are currently using overseas.
