First Look: SureFire XC1 Pistol Light

CompactLightFor 2015, SureFire has introduced a new compact pistol light, the company's smallest and most compact to date.

The new XC1 features an innovative recoil-proof 200-lumen LED focused by SureFire's specially designed multi-faceted reflector. The reflector creates the company's MaxVision Beam, a broad and crisp beam for illuminating and identifying threats, especially at close ranges.

The XC1 measures less than 2.5 inches in length and weighs a little more than 4 ounces, making it a viable option for duty or home-defense handguns. The pistol light's body is also durably constructed using a high-strength aerospace aluminum with a Mil-Spec finish, and the unit features an integral ambidextrous switch that provides either constant-on or momentary-on activation.

Powered by a single AAA battery, the XC1 pistol light has a run time of about 1.5 hours.
