First Look: New Guns from Kimber in 2015

With the introduction of more than 25 new or updated firearms, 2015 is shaping up to be another big year for Kimber America. The company has plans for new offerings in their product lines of full-size 1911s, Micro .380 ACP pistols, Solo 9mms as well as new rifles and caliber options in their hunting and tactical long guns.

Listed below are several of Kimber's new or updated firearms for 2015, accompanied by their estimated availability dates and MSRPs.

Advanced Tactical SRC

Using the same 8400 action as the Advanced Tactical SOC, the new Kimber Advanced Tactical SRC (Suppressor Ready Compact) comes chambered in .308 WIn. with a 16-inch threaded barrel. Initially available in a black finish with KeyMod rail system, the SRC has an adjustable trigger and accepts 5- and 10-round detachable magazines.

Desert Warrior TFS .45 ACP

Suppressor-height tritium night sights and a threaded barrel make the Kimber Desert Warrior TFS (Threaded For Suppression) a great option for mounting your favorite .45-caliber can. The pistol is finished with Dark Earth KimPro II and features an ambidextrous safety, 1913 Picatinny rail and a full-length guide rod.

Eclipse Ultra II LG .45 ACP

Equipped with Crimson Trace Lasergrips (LG) and tritium night sights, the Eclipse Ultra II LG is intended for carry in various lighting conditions. Comes with a 3-inch match-grade barrel, trigger and a 7-round magazine capacity.

Eclipse Custom II LG .45 ACP

The full-size offering in the Eclipse II LG lineup, the Custom II LG model is configured with a 5-inch barrel and features front cocking serrations on the polished steel slide.

Eclipse Pro II LG .45 ACP

The Eclipse Pro II LG is equipped with similar features as the sub-compact Ultra II, except this model comes with a 4-inch barrel. It also features a polished stainless steel slide and barrel with Crimson Trace Lasergrips (LG), however this model comes with a larger 8-round magazine.

Micro Carry Advocate .380 ACP

With its short aluminum frame and tritium night sights, the 13.4-ounce Micro Carry Advocate was designed for lightweight concealed carry. It comes with a 2.75-inch barrel and holds 7-rounds of .380 ACP.

The Micro Carry Advocate is also available with purple/black G-10 grips.

Micro Crimson Carry .380 ACP

Adding to the Micro Carry lineup of .380s is a Crimson Trace-equipped pistol with a two-tone aluminum frame. The Micro Crimson Carry weighs just 13.4 ounces with a 2.75-inch stainless steel barrel.

Micro Raptor Stainless .380 ACP

Custom Shop markings and scale-serrations on its slide, frame and Zebra wood grips give the Micro Raptor Stainless added form and function. The pistol weights 13.2 ounces and comes with tritium 3-dot night sights.

Micro Raptor .380 ACP

Similar to the stainless steel version, the Micro Raptor is also available in a Matte Black finish.

Micro Sapphire .380 ACP

This special edition to the Micro .380 lineup features a mirror-polished slide and small parts that are accented with a bright blue PVD finish and fine engraving. G10 Ball-milled grips and 3-dot nights sights are also included on this 13.4-ounce pistol.

Onyx Ultra II .45 ACP & 9mm

This special edition Ultra II with deep black Onyx PVD coating is custom engraved and includes a rounded heel with ball-milled grooves on the front strap and mainspring housing. Tritium night sights, a 3-inch barrel and ball-milled Micarta thin grips are also included. Available in .45 ACP and 9mm.

PRO TLE II TFS .45 ACP

in 2014, Kimber introduced the TLE II in a Threaded For Suppression (TFS) version with 5-inch barrel. This version sports all the same qualities such as suppressor-height night sights, but has a shorter 4.5-inch barrel.

Ultra RCP II LG .45 ACP

New to the Ultra II lineup is the RCP LG version, which foregoes traditional iron sights for the use of Crimson Trace Lasergrips (LG) as its primary sighting device. This aluminum-framed pistol comes with a 3-inch barrel and weights 25-ounces. This "Extreme Melt" pistol is designed for snag-free carry and also features a rounded heel.

Kimber Rifle Caliber Additions

Kimber's Adirondack rifle is now available in .300 AAC Blackout and 6.5 Creedmoor at a price of [imo-slideshow gallery= 524],768 with estimated availability of Q2 2015. The Kimber Mountain Ascent rifle is now available in .300 WSM, .270 WSM, .300 Win. Mag and 7mm Rem Mag. for gallery= 524,040 with an estimated availability of Q2 2015. The Advanced Tactical II and Advanced Tactical SOC rifles are now available in 6.5 Creedmoor for $4,351 and $4,419 (respectively), with estimated availabilities of Q2 2015.

Sapphire Pro II 9mm

Kimber is extending its limited edition Sapphire PVD finish into a 4-inch 9mm pro model. It comes adorned with fine engraving accents on its polished stainless steel slide and ball-milling on its frame. G-10 grips and 3-dot night sights are also included on this 25-ounce pistol with a magazine capacity of 8-rounds.

The Sapphire Ultra II is Similar in form to the Pro II model, but comes with a shorter 2.5-inch barrel.

SOLO Sapphire 9mm

Equipped with a striker-fired trigger system and 7075-T7 aluminum frame, the Kimber's SOLO series is now available in a Sapphire PVD finish. This 9mm pistol has a 2.7-inch barrel, holds 6+1 rounds and weights 17-ounces.

Warrior SOC TFS .45 ACP

Kimber's tactically-inclined Warrior SOC now comes available with a 5.5-inch threaded barrel, suppressor-height tritium night sights and a Desert Tan Crimson Trace Rail Master laser. KimPro II finishing includes a Dark Earth-colored slide, while its frame contrasts for a two-tone appearance in a dark green color.

Classic Carry Elite .45 ACP

Striking in appearance, the Classic Carry Elite struts a bobtail frame and a slide bi-tone gunmetal slide with rose gold PVD finish that has fine-line engravings. French walnut grips with a checkered Micarta inlay and 24 lines-per-inch checkering give an aggressive appearance to the grip area. The pistol also features a 5-inch barrel, 3-dot tritium night sights and an ambidextrous thumb safety.
