The Revolution Targets Portable Dueling Tree makes this segment of “Pros vs. Joes” one of our favorites. Guns & Ammo TV Producer Darin Narlock is challenged by competitive shooter and USPSA Grand Master Jim Tarr to see who can finish the fastest.
Given the “Joe” an edge in recoil control and capacity, Narlock shoots a Walther Q5 Match Steel Frame in 9mm equipped with a red dot. This pistol is a proven competition pistol, so Tarr is at a decided disadvantage with his smaller Kimber EVO SP with less capacity of 9mm. Or is he?
Tarr’s experience and mastery of the pistol quickly become clear. With the race over, Tarr breaks down how to take full advantage of a red dot on a pistol, and provides his foe with useful tips on how to quickly acquire a red dot’s sight picture to start shooting fast.
