Tom Beckstrand heads to the SIG Sauer Academy to get the inside story on SIG Sauer’s P320 X-Compact from Phil Strader, pistol product manager. The P320 X-Compact maintains the features of the full-size X-Series models, but presents them in a smaller package suited for concealed carry.
The X-frame offers a undercut triggerguard that works with an extended beavertail to offer the ability for a higher grip on the P320 than the original frame, which results in improved handling and comfort. The P320 X-Compact comes equipped with SIG Sauer’s X-Ray3 day-or-night sights, while sharing the M17 optic-ready footprint. This means that the X-Compact is compatible with the SIG Sauer Romeo1, new Romeo2 and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro series of red dot sights without the need for a custom adapter plate.
The accessory rail, four-sided magwell, 15+1 capacity, light weight and other features make the SIG Sauer P320 X-Compact an excellent choice for a red-dot ready concealed-carry pistol.
