Gator Goes Tactical: John Deere Gator Midnight Black Editions

John Deere has given their Gator line of utility vehicles a touch of tactical.

The company has announced the offering of two new special edition Gator utility vehicles designed with an emphasis on customization and adaptability. The Gator Midnight Black XUV825i and Gator Midnight Black RSX850i are both built with style in mind and sport a custom matte black paint scheme with charcoal graphics. Each model also offers a number of features to maximize utility.

"More and more outdoor enthusiasts are on the lookout for limited build custom vehicles," said David Gigandet, John Deere marketing manager, Gator utility vehicles. "These new models provide customers the durability and productivity they've come to expect with Gators, but in a unique and stylish theme that will capture the attention of John Deere fans and the utility vehicle market."

The 50 hp., 812 cc XUV825i Midnight Black Special Edition Gator features a sport steering wheel, power steering, high performance exhaust, a long-range light kit and poly half doors. The vehicle also comes equipped with matte black alloy rims and Maxxis 2.0 Bighorn tires and a deluxe cargo box with a spray-on liner to ensure hard-working performance and longevity. Customizable options include a power and front protection package for customers who require power lift, a heavy-duty front brushguard and fender guard, floor mats and the choice of either sport bucket seats or a bench seat.

Offering the user a bit more power, the 62 hp., 839 cc RSX850i Midnight Black Special Edition Gator has the same paint scheme as the XUV825i but sports black and silver alloy rims and Maxxis 2.0 Bighorn tires. The trail-sport package includes a special edition door closeout panel with Gator image, PreRunner bumper and a Warn 3,500-lb. winch, as well as a full underbody aluminum skid plate, mounted HELLA HID Sport lights, FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks, 2-inch front receiver hitch, side nerf bars and cargo box rails. The RSX850i model also comes with performance sports seats.

The XUV825i and RSX850i Midnight Black Special Edition Gators are available now from John Deere and authorized dealers, but product quantities are limited.
