HPR Ammunition has introduced a new line of defensive ammunition called Black Ops.
Black Ops ammo features Open-Tipped Frangible (OTF) projectiles, designed to maintain their trajectory through various barriers such as sheet rock, plywood, car doors and auto glass. When entering soft tissue, however, the jacket and core are designed to separate, resulting in a large force of impact and mass force trauma.
These light-for-caliber, lead free bullets with a powdered metal core are intended to deliver optimal energy to the target with minimal recoil. Black Ops are initially offered in 9mm Luger, .40 S&W and .45 Auto, with a 62-grain .223 Remington load expected soon.
