In an official trailer for Terminator Genisys, Arnold Schwarzenegger's character gives a nod to Guns & Ammo as a provider of reliable firearm-related information, saying "I read about this on gunsandammo.com."

The most widely read firearms magazine receives a callout in the new "Terminator Genisys" film, which debuts on July 1 and is the fifth installment of the "The Terminator" franchise. Paramount Pictures, the company behind the film, has also indicated that a copy of G&A will make a cameo appearance in the movie.
Paramount recently reached out to Guns & Ammo Editor Eric Poole for the opportunity to profile some of the firearms created by ISS Armory's legendary gunsmith Harry Lu and which are featured throughout The Terminator films. This exclusive, behind-the-scenes feature written by Jeremy Stafford will appear in the August 2015 issue of G&A , which will be available on newsstands July 2.
Benelli in hand, an older T-850 stands ready. Shotguns are one of the go-to firearms when outfitting the Terminator because of the size and intimidation factor associated with the character as well as the size of the person playing the character. Needing the gun to not only convey power and look "right" for the movie, the gun choices also have to make tactical sense for the characters. When a young Sarah Connor needs to slow down an advancing Terminator, the Desert Eagle is the only way to go.
