Cimarron Firearms Company has announced a new line of revolvers designed specifically for Cowboy Action Shooters. Called the Eliminator Series, this line includes three different revolver models made exclusively for Cimarron by Pietta .
All of the new Cimarron Eliminator Series revolvers feature a Cowboy Comp U.S. action upgrade and a 25 percent shorter hammer stroke. Below is more specific information for each of the new revolvers:
Cimarron Eliminator 8
The new Eliminator 8 (Octagon) fittingly features a 4.75-inch octagonal barrel and a pre-war frame. The stylish revolver sports checkered Army-style grips, a color case-hardened frame and a blued cylinder/frame assembly. It is available in .357 Magnum/.38 Special and .45 Long Colt at a price of $778.70.
Cimarron Eliminator C
Built for competition, the new Cimarron Eliminator C (Competition) incorporates a 4.75-inch round barrel. Like the Eliminator 8, this revolver sports checkered single action grips, a pre-war color case-hardened frame and a blued cylinder/frame assembly and is available in .357 Magnum/.38 Special and .45 Long Colt . It has a suggested retail price of $596.70.
Cimarron Eliminator TS
The Eliminator TS (Thunderstorm) is the only revolver in this series that is available with either a 3.5- or 4.75-inch barrel. It also features the specially designed Thunderstorm hammer, which is made to be low and wide for comfortable, no-slip cocking.
In addition to the action upgrade that the other two revolvers receive, the Eliminator TS gets the Cowboy Comp Thunderstorm action job, making it an excellent choice for mounted competition shooters. Unlike the other two models in this line, the Cimarron Eliminator TS has the option of a polished steel frame and cylinder/frame assembly and is only available in .45 Long Colt. The Eliminator TS has a suggested retail price of $747.50.
