At day 2 of the 2019 NRA Show in Indianapolis, George Thompson, Director of Product Management with Benelli USA, takes time to tell us about the 828U Sport model shotgun. Professional and semi-professional competition-level shooters will want to pay particular attention to this gun, because the 828U Sport is specifically designed for competitive shooting. The receiver is made out of steel, which increases the weight to about eight pounds. It's got a balancing system built into the stock, referred to as progressive because you can move the weight forward or backward to your liking. The adjustable trigger allows you to move the trigger forward or backward to fit. The shotgun has adjustable dropping casts to help fit the shooter, adjustable length of pull by changing out the different pads, carbon fiber rib with a sight channel, and an ivory Bradley style front bead. It has Benelli’s patented Lock Plate action in it, which means the days of having to rebuild your performance over/unders after 25-40,000 rounds are over. Thompson guarantees this gun will last the rest of your life. The 828U Sport is a true competition ready, professional grade product made for all the trap and sporting clay shooters out there.
