Although true select-fire rifles and pistols may be regulated and cost prohibitive, full-auto airguns can be purchased freely and affordably, and they are a ton of fun to shoot. Umarex Air offers a selection of CO2-powered licensed replica airguns with the full-auto feature, including a Beretta M9A3 model that looks and handles like the military pistol. The company also produces airguns of its own design, such as the Steel Strike air rifle that fires six-round bursts and has a magazine capable of holding 900 BBs. Gun Tech Editor Richard Nance and Pro-Shooter Jim Tarr head to the range with both .177-caliber airguns to test their aim and demonstrate why the full-auto selector is often called the “giggle switch.”
