First Look: SureFire M600 AA Scout Light

SureFire is adding to its Scout Light line of weapon-mounted lights with the introduction of the new M600 AA Scout Light.

The M600 AA Scout Light features a rugged high-output LED that generates up to 200 lumens of light and a patented TIR lens that shapes the light into a beam offering far reach while maintaining situational awareness. The new light is powered by two AA lithium batteries or two AA alkaline batteries, with the lithium batteries providing a run time of 3.75 hours.

The low-profile M600 AA Scout Light has a lightweight, hard-anodized aluminum body for an overall weight of 5.2 ounces and mounts securely to standard Picatinny rails using an integral thumbscrew clamp. The new Scout Light comes with an included pushbutton tailcap switch, but an optional pressure-pad tape switch is also available.

Smith & Wesson's John Myles has been a regular on the New Product Premier, and he joins Joe Kurtenbach to run it back again at SHOT Show 2024. Last year the company introduced the Response pistol caliber carbine (PCC), an AR-styled platform designed to run off commonly available semiautomatic pistol magazines. A direct-blowback action powers the Response, but what sets the gun apart is its interchangeable magazine well. Mag wells are easy to swap for owners, and the Response comes with both an M&P mag option, as well as a mag well for Glock-pattern 9mm magazines. New for 2024 is a magazine well for SIG Sauer P320 mags. No matter what pistol platform you choose to shoot, Smith & Wesson wants you to rely on the Response for your PCC needs.
