This wood-stocked bolt action is just one of many hunting rifles offered from Savage, but we like it because of the 5.5 — 6 pounds it weighs. Not to mention it comprises the standard Savage features, such as the AccuTrigger, which gives shooters the flexibility to set trigger pull to their preference. The steel barrel is straightened by hand and is button-rifled for consistent accuracy and rates of twist. It also features a floating bolt head that allows for a minute amount of float that allows for 100 percent engagement of both lugs to occur. The rifle is available in eight chamberings.
