Smith & Wesson's M&P Shield Performance Center is a reworked version of one of S&W's best sellers.
Guns and Ammo's Tom Beckstrand talks with Smith & Wesson's Tony Miele about the new .40 S&W M&P Shield Performance Center in this At The Range segment.
Originally unveiled in 2012, the .40 M&P Shield is now offered from the Performance Center with notable improvements and features.
The first change you'll notice is the ported barrel to help with recoil allowing you to get the fiber optic sights -- another new addition -- back on target more quickly.

The .40 S&W features the Performance Center seer which creates a short reset on the crisp trigger and the trigger bar is more radiused giving it less interference.
The slide also has three cuts, providing reduced slide mass which allows the slide to move and lock quicker which allows for faster follow-up shots.
