First Look: Surefire XC3
The SureFire XC3 is a compact handgun light that projects 500 lumens and 7,200 candela of white light. The output and throw are impressive for its size. The beam pattern is a hybrid with a strong hot-spot with significant surrounding spill. It is not only compact, but it is lightweight. It would service those in uniform as a duty light or a citizen for everyday carry. The activation switch can be operated by either hand intuitively and provides tactile feedback for confident mode selection between constant-on and momentary. The aluminum housing is finished in a mil-spec hard-anodized black, which was machined to specifically ensure compatibility with readily available and popular compact light-bearing holsters. The XC3 is powered by a single CR123 lithium battery, providing a long runtime. Changing the battery is easy out the front of the bezel, and the procedure does not require removing the light from the firearm. The XC3 attaches to pistols with universal or Picatinny-type accessory rails, making it an ideal option for most compact handguns. Learn more by visiting www.surefire.com.
