Federal Premium announced the expansion of the Fusion MSR line with a 90-grain option in 6.8 SPC. The load joins the existing Fusion MSR lineup, which includes the 62-grain 223 Rem., 115-grain 6.8 SPC, 150-grain 308 Win. and 185-grain 338 Federal.
The new 90-grain 6.8 SPC load is fully optimized to perform in modern sporting rifle platforms, using primers, propellants, bullets and cases that are designed for the best function possible. The 6.8 round features a bullet that contains a skived tip for long-range expansion. The Fusion MSR round also features a molecularly fused jacket that surrounds a pressure-formed core that is designed to offer maximum accuracy.
The Federal Fusion MSR line was designed for modern sporting rifles, which are one of the most adaptable class of firearms in history, handling everything from tactical applications to elk hunting. Fusion MSR loads are designed for hunting with these rifles, performing to their ballistic peak through 16-inch barrels for AR-15 platforms and 20-inch barrels for AR10 platforms. The molecularly fused bullet transfers tremendous energy on impact for knockdown power.
The 90-grain 6.8 SPC Fusion MSR load is available now and will retail at a suggested price of $29.95.
