After compiling 365 days of sales data, GunBroker.com's Top Selling Report , presented by GunGenius.com , unveiled the 25 best-selling new guns of 2024. The list includes handguns, rifles, and shotguns of every action type and caliber. The results are a combination of what one might expect with a few raised eyebrows thrown in for good measure.
Before getting into each type of gun, here’s a breakdown by brand and how many each one had on the list. There are four from Ruger, three from Glock, two from Sig, CZ, Colt, and Henry, and one each from Marlin, Browning, Mossberg, Springfield Armory, Smith & Wesson, Armscor/RIA, Beretta, Remington, Heritage, and Savage.
Fleshing things out by type of gun, a total of 14 of the 25 were handguns, with just two being revolvers. Eight were rifles, consisting of five bolt-actions, two lever-actions, and one semi-auto. Only one shotgun made the top 25.
Ruger showed up most frequently on the list, with their 10/22 rifle taking the number two spot, American series of pistols and rifles taking spots five and six respectively, and the Mark IV pistol taking the 11th spot.

The three Glock pistols that made the list are no surprise. They are the G19 at number four, G43 at number seven, and G17 at number 22.
Henry’s two spots on the list were for their Side Gate Lever Action rifles at number 18 and their Big Boy rifles at number 20. While the former are obviously guns that offer side gate loading, the Big Boy rifles are a mix of side gate and tube only models.
Colt’s two guns are ones that have served the company well over the years. The Python revolver is in spot 16 and the Government Model semi-auto pistol is in spot 24.

The CZ75 pistol and Model 457 bolt-action rifle put CZ on the list twice, in spots eight and 21 respectively.
Even though many of the companies on the list make an assortment of different types of firearms, the only one to land a shotgun in the top 25 was Mossberg with their 590 line of pump-actions at spot 12.
Other rifles on the list include Marlin’s Model 1895 lever-action in the ninth spot, Browning’s X-Bolt immediately following in the tenth spot, Remington’s Model 700 bolt-action in spot 19, and Savage 10/110 bolt-action models in the 25th spot.
The only other revolver aside from the Colt Python to make the list was the Heritage Rough Rider , which sits in spot 23.

The remaining semi-auto handguns included Sig’s P320 in third, Springfield’s Hellcat in 13th, Smith & Wesson’s M&P9 in 14th, Armscor/RIA’s 1911 in 15th, and Beretta’s Model 90 in 17th.
At this point, the only gun missing from the list is the one that took the number one spot. Which gun took home the title?
The Sig P365 holds the distinction of being the top selling new gun of 2024.
There’s no denying the pistol’s popularity since its initial release in 2018. Since then, there have been myriad variations made available. One thing that may have contributed to the P365’s popularity in 2024 is the fact that it was finally added to the California roster at the end of 2023. This means that 2024 was the first full year where Golden State residents could buy it, and California has the third-highest number of gun sales in the country. Beyond that, it’s just a good gun for concealed carry. In fact, I’m wearing one as I write this.
