Team Remington Ladies Bring Home Titles

Madison, NC – Remington Arms Company is pleased to announce that Team Remington shooters Ashleigh Hafley, Diane Sorantino and Haley Dunn dominated the 2011 World English Sporting Championship held April 28th – May 1st at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, TX.

In the Main event, Hafley fired a 174/200 to capture the World Sporting Ladies Championship title; adding yet another major championship to her long and esteemed list of titles. Not to be outdone, teammate Diane Sorantino battled hard earning her the Ladies Champion title in both the Federation Internationale de Tir Aux Sportives de Chasse (FITASC) and Preliminary events and finished World Sporting Ladies Runner-Up to Hafley. In her return to the sporting clays scene, famed Olympic skeet shooter Haley Dunn proved she will be a force by placing Lady Runner-Up in 5-Stand and shooting her way to a pair of 4th place finishes in the Main and Preliminary events.

"This was an unbelievable performance for Team Remington. The accomplishments of our lady shooters at this event were spectacular," stated John Bauer, Remington Shooting Sports Manager. "We are very proud of the performance of our shooters and our products."

All three Team Remington shooters used the same shotshell; the target smashing 1oz., #7 ½ shot, Premier Nitro 27 Target Load.


Remington would also like to congratulate TEAM USA Ladies for capturing the World English Sporting Team title. Team Remington shooter Ashleigh Hafley was a participating member of TEAM USA and posted the highest score.
