First Look: Smith & Wesson CSX E-Series 9mm

In January of 2022, Smith & Wesson introduced a new micro-compact pistol featuring an aluminum alloy frame, called the CSX. Since its release, Smith & Wesson has refined its design, implemented upgrades, and incorporated additional features into the platform. Smith & Wesson have now announced the launch of the new CSX E-Series.

This new CSX line features enhanced E-Series trigger with a clean break and reset, extensive grip texture coverage, and a modular grip adapter that converts from micro-compact to compact frame size. This optic-ready pistol is chambered in 9MM, with 12, 15, or 17-round capacity options, with magazines and adapters included. Compliant models offer a 10-round capacity with both a compact flush-fit magazine and a 10-round extended magazine (longer grip adapter included).

Modular Grip Adapter – The modular grip adapter lets users size the profile of the gun down for concealment or size up for better handling when shooting.

E-Series Trigger – Newly enhanced E-series trigger that has a light, clean break, and an improved reset. The straighter pull to the rear aids in accuracy when firing.

Optics-Ready - Modified RMS-C/507K optic footprint that features a ClearSight cut designed to strategically divert gasses away from the optic lens when firing.
