Armscor/Rock Island Armory has been making waves in the shooting industry with the development of its new cartridge, the .22 TCM (Tuason-Craig Magnum), which is capable velocities in excess of 2,000 feet per second (fps) from handgun barrels.
To pair with this new round, Rock Island Armory (RIA) has also introduced a series of 1911 pistols, including the 1911 Standard Midsize, chambered for the .22 TCM cartridge. The pistols are capable of firing a 40-grain bullet at around 2,100 fps from a 5-inch barrel. The 1911 Standard Midsize features a 17-round capacity and also comes with a 9mm conversion barrel for added versatility.
