The MK216's claim to fame is its .308 chambering and unique gas system to the cartridge. Often compared to the operating system found on the AK47, the long-stroke gas piston system is well-known and regarded among enthusiasts. The long-stroke system offers more of a push than the slap of a short-stroke system, increasing parts life and offering a more comfortable recoil impulse. Rifles & Glass columnist, Tom Beckstrand, wrung out a .69-inch five-shot group at 100 yards when shooting Black Hills 175-grain match ammunition. Who said piston guns aren't accurate?
