To combine affordability and quality in .223 Remington ammunition, Hornady and Lake City team up to reintroduce the legendary Hornady Frontier line. Guns & Ammo’s Tom Beckstrand sits down with Hornady Vice President Jason Hornady to discuss what .223 Remington Frontier line has to offer.
With multiple grain weights available, .223 Rem. ammunition is available in the Frontier line as a full-metal jacket (FMJ), Spire Point (SP) and Match hollowpoint (HP) options. These will certainly take care of the shooter that participates in multiple shooting disciplines. Hornady tests demonstrates the rounds in a SIG Sauer MCX Virtus and easily shoots several tight groups. Frontier ammunition runs smooth in any .223-chambered gun, and it is expected to hold 1 MOA or better downrange. With the Frontier line, now everyone can afford such high-quality ammunition.
