CrossBreed Holsters announced the introduction of its pocket magazine holster at the 2016 NRA Annual Meetings. The introduction came with the separate announcement that naming rights to the new holster would be awarded at a contest during the show.
The results of the contest led to the name of the new holster: the CrossBreed Gideon. The holster is crescent-shaped and features a single slot that is custom-fitted to your particular magazine. The two prongs of the crescent prevent the carrier from slipping out of the pocket during a magazine draw.

The benefits of a pocket magazine holster are numerous. For starters, the Gideon keeps your spare mag oriented in the right direction so that shooters will always know which way the magazine is facing during reloading. Another benefit is the ability of the Gideon to keep dust, dirt and lint away from the opening of your magazine, lessening the chances of a misfire related to a clogged-up mag.
The CrossBreed Gideon magazine carrier comes in five different options and fits magazines for numerous concealed carry pistol options. The suggested retail price is $25.
