Introducing the Mossberg Flex System

by G&A Online Editors   |  January 19th, 2012 8

Mossberg unveiled its brand new Flex system at SHOT Show 2012 in Las Vegas. The Flex system allows shooters to easily swap out stocks, forends and recoil pads through a series of three connectors. Mossberg has also developed accessories that coordinate with the Flex system and can be used interchangeably on any Flex shotgun. Check out the video straight from SHOT Show!

Nice the only problem is that you have to use flex parts on the shotgun, so it limits you as to what you can put on. But very cool none the less.

When this concept "takes off" as it assuredly will,it'll drive the competition crazy! Imajine being able to adjust for"cast-off" or length of pull as easily as changing boots. Terrific concept
    I want one soonest!

I am going to check these out as soon as they hit the gun shops. I think it is a great idea and makes real strides in advancing a shotguns versitlity. Wonder how well they pattern with the turkey configuration? I am sure that I will see some good articles coming out shoot on performance.

Why doesn't it come in 3-1/2" instead of 3"? Then it would be really useful. Reach out and touch those really high flying geese. I'll buy one when it comes in 3-1/2 until then I'm really not interested.

Is the "flex" system capable of retrofitting existing 500/590 or new production only?
