At the Range: Leupold DeltaPoint 2 Reflex Sight

by Guns & Ammo TV   |  May 27th, 2014 3

leupold_deltapoint_2_review_fIntroduced in January 2014, the Leupold DeltaPoint 2 reflex sight was designed with several new features that improve upon common issues with other micro reflex sights on the market.

Key features include increased battery life, automatic motion activation and the ability to change batteries without removing the optic from the firearm. It can also be mounted to virtually any firearm from handguns to shotguns.

Check out how the Leupold DeltaPoint 2 performed at the range in this segment of Guns & Ammo TV, airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on the Sportsman Channel.

How do you mount it? I’d imagine that you’d have to have some milling done to slides not set up to accept the site, How much does that cost?

There are attachments that mount on the flash light picatinny rail and will go up and over the slide and have a picatinny rail at the top for mounting sights. So no milling involved. Plus I would not recommend milling the slide to your pistol it may weaken the structure. A gunsmith can possibly mount it by tapping holes on top. On some pistols not all the rear sight can be detached and there will be an attachment that fits in the space to mount an optic.
