First Look: Berne Apparel CCW Pants

New for 2016, Berne Apparel announced the addition of CCW pants to its lineup of concealed carry workwear. The CCW pants are equipped with the company's proprietary Adder System for handgun retention and deployment.

Berne's line of concealed carry workwear began with the company's Echo One Zero Vest and Echo One One Jacket. These clothing items featured a hidden lining behind the outer cargo pocket of the jacket.

This hidden lining allowed people to carry a concealed firearm that was instantly available by pulling down on the outer cargo pocket, speeding up response time in a dangerous situation.

Berne Apparel has built on that initial offering with its CCW pants. The Adder System pocket is now featured on the cargo pants pockets of the new Echo Zero Six pants and shorts. This allows concealed carry holders to easily conceal a handgun behind the cargo pockets without printing while still having an easily accessible defensive pistol on-hand.

The Echo Zero Six CCW pants are designed with a flex fit waistband and wide belt loops to accommodate larger concealed carry belts on the market. The pants feature deep reinforced coin pockets and also have triple-needle stitching on the main seams to ensure durability.

The Adder System pocket is hidden through a combination of Velcro and button snaps that ensure your concealed firearm is secured and that there is no risk of accidentally revealing your defensive pistol. However, the system is easy to access through a firm pull down to expose the MOLLE grid inside the pocket.

The MOLLE grid allows CCW holders to customize their carry pocket with a favorite holster or other accessories. The Adder System is completely ambidextrous, so the pocket closest to the support hand can be filled with flashlights, knives, pepper spray or other EDC items.

An additional added benefit of the Berne Apparel line is the non-descript design of the workwear. Berne is known for its clothing line outside the CCW world, and the CCW pants and jackets are designed to fit in with other non-tactical apparel so that concealed carry licensees do not draw attention to themselves through their clothing.
