MKS Supply Introduces New 1911A1 WWII Replica

1911_clone_FMKS Supply has announced that it is now introducing a faithful copy of the original 1911A1 Government Model pistol made famous during WWII.

The new 1911 clone is being produced by Inland Manufacturing, LLC and appears identical to the authentic .45 ACP pistol carried by soldiers. The Inland 1911A1 Government Model is accurately portrayed down to the vertical slide serrations, exterior finish, fixed combat sights and lanyard loop, and the pistol even features plastic grips styled and colored like the originals.

Internally, the new Inland 1911A1 Government Model incorporates modern technology. Using advancements in metallurgy and internal design, the manufacturers have created stronger components, which allow for improved reliability and accuracy. Its frame and slide are cast from 420 stainless steel and CNC machined to precision tolerances.

"Originals of these guns can get pretty expensive in good-looking, useable form and, in collector quality, just flat painful to buy and then not use," said Charles Brown of MKS Supply "but a real-deal, affordable, high-quality clone you can shoot the heck out of without fear of hurting collector value, now that is fun."

Specifications on the Inland 1911A1 Government Model are as follows:

  • Caliber: .45 ACP
  • Barrel: 5 inches
  • Weight: 39 ounces

  • Grips: Brown checkered plastic
  • Sights: Military-style, rear drift adjustable
  • Magazine: One 7-round (will fit other Mil. Spec. magazines)
  • Recommended

  • Construction: Modern 4100 series steels

The new Inland 1911A1 Government Model is available for $749.
