Browning Arms Company has lent its Buckmark to nearly every product seen in the sportsman’s world, with one notable exception: ammunition.
Now that’s about to change.
Coming in January 2016, Browning Ammunition will present a full line of options for rifles, handguns and shotguns. Each load will feature proprietary technology from Browning and will include the company’s signature logo on every case and shell.
“Browning Ammunition builds upon the legacy and heritage of our brand while introducing innovative products that will carry the iconic Buckmark symbol,” said Travis Hall, Browning president and CEO. “It is a tremendous opportunity to partner with Winchester, the world’s leading manufacturer of ammunition for shooters and hunters.”
Though we have seen Browning ammo in the past, this new generation was developed with the company motto in mind: “The Best There Is.” The calibers and bullets featured in the Browning line represents a well-thought-out option for every potential ammunition use, from self-defense to hunting.
Rifle calibers will be available in popular chamberings, including .243 Win., .270 Win., .308 Win., 30-06’ Springfield and .300 Win. Mag.
Several bullet options allow shooters to choose the best round for their intended use. Rimfire will also be available.
The Browning Ammunition pistol line will include .380 ACP, 9mm Luger, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. As with rifle options, pistol ammunition will be available in several varieties that allow shooters to choose their preferred round.
Browning shotgun ammunition will be available in both 12 gauge and 20 gauge. The 12-gauge options will come with 2 3/4-inch to 3 1/2-inch shells, while the 20 gauge will cover both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells.
Both shotgun ammunition lines will offer loads for waterfowl, upland and target shooting.
