One of the thinnest and lightest pocket pistol options on the market today just got a bit better.

Pico-Beauty-Shot018[2]Beretta announced that it would be introducing improved models of the Beretta Pico that included a lighter trigger pull and easier slide operation.

“Meeting the needs and wants of our customers is important to Beretta, and the adjustments we’ve made to the Pico are a reflection of that,” said Rafe Bennett, vice president of product marketing for Beretta USA.

The improvement suggestions came soon after the Beretta Pico was unveiled, and the company has been working off consumer feedback to improve this slim semiauto.

Pico-Beauty-Shot019[2]Beretta has also introduced a full line of accessories for the pistol, including holsters, light and laser grip frame accessories, and grip frame color options.

The Beretta Pico itself is a semiauto .380 with a 6-round magazine. The gun is touted as one of the smallest and lightest .380s on the market today, weighing in at only 11.5 ounces empty. The pistol is 5.1 inches long, 4 inches high and includes a 2.7-inch barrel.

One of the prominent features of the Beretta Pico is its slimness, coming in at less than 3/4 of an inch wide. The frame is polymer, while the slide is stainless steel.

Though the trigger has been lightened, it still retains the double-action only trigger, which is intended to prevent accidental discharges. The pistol retails for $400.
