smith_wesson_model_69_44_magnum_L-frameSmith & Wesson introduced nine new handguns in 2014, among which are a pair of revolvers that stand out in S&W’s long-standing tradition of building high quality wheel guns.

Those revolvers are the Model 69 and Model 66, both double-action (DA) revolvers with stainless steel frames. The Model 69 marks the first time S&W has built a .44 Magnum revolver on anything other than the N-frame, while the Model 66 introduces the return of the K-frame.

    Lucky guys.

Skills of shooting; it’s a good life.

Good concept guns – especially the L-frame .44 Mag – but they’d be even better if the suits at S&W had finally seen fit to discontinue that silly integral lock . . .

i like the .357 Magnum on the L-frame rather than this SS model on the K frame the model 66 just like the model 19 on the K-frame except in blue with wooden grips.I’m trying to say I like and prefer the >357 magnum on the L-frame like the 686 and 686 plus. The .44 magnum on a L frame called the model 69 in SS.No thankyou I’ll stay with the N -frame on the .44 magnum.

    I’m hopeful for a model 66 with a 2 1/2 inch barrel again. I loved the old k frame model 19 with a 2 1/2 barrel.
