The Leupold Mount Systems app allows the user to choose their brand of firearm and then narrow their choices down to a specific model.
While choosing an optic for a firearm can be difficult enough, finding the correct mount for a given firearm and optic combination can be even more of a challenge.
Leupold is trying to take some of the legwork out of this process by introducing a new, free, easy-to-use Mount Systems app to help shooters quickly find the appropriate rings and bases needed for their firearms.
"We know the wide variety of rings and bases can be daunting. That's why we developed the Mount Systems app as a simple way to find the right mounting solution," said Pat Mundy, director of brand communications for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. "Finding the right mounting system is now as easy as turning on your iPad."

The new Leupold Mount Systems app features a simple, user-friendly interface that allows shooters to choose their brand of firearm and then narrow their choices down to a specific model. After the user has chosen the model, the type of riflescope is then selected, either by Leupold model or by maintube and objective bell diameter.
Once the user has chosen the firearm model, the type of riflescope is then selected, either by Leupold model or by maintube and objective bell diameter.
Following this process, the user may have to answer more questions about finish type, ring height or whether or not they require adjustable bases depending on which riflescope they selected. Once these are addressed, the app reveals the correct mounting option, including packaging images to make it easy for the user to find while in the store.
