Kinetic Development Group Introduces Kinect QD System for MLOK

Kinetic Development Group (KDG), which is well known for its development of innovative FN SCAR accessories, has introduced a revolutionary new quick-detach system for use on MLOK rails.

Referred to as Kinect, this new system includes a family of products that allow the shooter to attach accessories and Picatinny rail sections securely to any MLOK rail in seconds and without the use of tools. Using patent-pending technology, KDG's Kinect QD system allows the user to press the accessory or rail section into the chosen MLOK slot and wait until the device clicks into place, which can take less than a second to occur.

While quick to install, the Kinect QD system is also durably constructed and provides a solid mount with a sturdy attachment point. The device is capable of handling ample force, and in a demonstration of this, KDG actually shows a man doing pull ups supported by nothing but the Kinect system. Check out the video below.

The Kinect QD system utilizes two two spring-loaded wedges in the base of the Kinect mounting point. The moment the shooter presses the accessory or rail section down in the MLOK slot, two tiny deployment triggers are pressed against the rail, firing the wedges into place.

In addition to the Kinect System, KDG is also launching the MREX-AR, an MLOK rail solution for the AR platform. The MREX-AR allows for extra-tight fits with Kinect system for even sturdier mounting and is ergonomically designed to feel more like a handguard than a tube. The MREX-AR handguard also places MLOK slots at a 45-degree position for those shooters wanting to add reflex sights in addition to larger optics for close quarters engagements.

Pieces for the Kinetic Development Group Kinect QD system will be available this summer alongside the MREX-AR rail. KDG has plans for a number of Kinect pieces such as 3 slot picatinny sections, Harris bipod adapters, 7 slot picatinny sections, offset surefire mounts, Aimpoint micro mounts and many more.
