2015 SHOT Show HK USP 9 Gets Tactical Overhaul for 2015 G&A Online Editors January 26th, 2015 | More From G&A Online Editors Share0 Tweet Email Share on Facebook.Share on Twitter.Share on Google+For 2015, Heckler & Koch (HK) is giving its popular USP 9 pistol a series of tactical upgrades. The new USP 9 Tactical model combines the USP platform with HK’s tactical pistol features such as a threaded barrel with an O-ring, a match trigger with an adjustable trigger stop and adjustable target sights. As with all full size USP pistols, this Tactical version in 9mm utilizes a modified Browning-type action and HK’s patented USP recoil reduction system, which lessens recoil effects on pistol components and lowers the recoil felt by the shooter. The USP 9 Tactical also utilizes the same control lever that can be switched from the left to the right side of the pistol to accommodate left-handed shooters. Similar to previous models, the USP 9 Tactical can be converted from one firing mode to another, including a combination double-action/single-action (DA/SA) mode as well as a double-action-only (DAO) mode. The USP 9 Tactical accepts a number of different suppressors. relatedPeople's Pistol: HK VP9 ReviewWhenever I discover a new pistol on the market, I often wonder about the name or model number provenance.
