Nikon Introduces ProStaff 7 Riflescope Line
August 19, 2015
Clear that scope rail, guys. You've got something new to put on it.
Today, Nikon introduced its brand-new line of ProStaff 7 riflescopes. Five scope options are available in the line, ranging from 2.5-10x42 to 4-16x50.
With a 30mm main body tube, the ProStaff 7 allows for a wider maximum internal adjustment range. Depending on the model, the internal adjustment range can be as little as 90 moa and as much as 140 moa. The scopes also include spring-loaded instant zero-reset turrets that allow shooters to zero the turrets after an initial adjustment.
The 7 series scopes are available with either a Nikoplex or a BDC reticle. Those who choose the BDC reticle can use the circles on the scope field in conjunction with Nikon's free Spot On Ballistic Match program, which is available for download here on both Apple and Android devices.
The Spot On program enables shooters to compensate for bullet drop when shooting at extended ranges by providing an aiming point with the BDC reticle for any load or ammunition at a given range. More than 5,000 different loads are included in the software.
The lenses on the ProStaff 7 are multi-coated to ensure the best possible light transmission, enabling clearer pictures in low-light situations. The scopes also come equipped with a quick focus eyepiece and 1/4 inch click stop adjustments on both turrets. All scopes within the line are waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof.
The suggested retail price for the ProStaff 7 scopes starts from $299.95 and can be up to $449.95, depending on the model.
