How'™s Your Memory?
June 20, 2011
If you can remember this Guns & Ammo cover, your're a more dedicated reader than most. Fact is, it's the first issue ever — Summer 1958. For the first year, you see, we were a quarterly.
Excerpted from original cover description for Summer Edition 1958:
The 1860 Colt Army revolver pictured is in as near mint condition as will be found in any collection. This .44 caliber percussion pistol is original in every respect and is from the collection of Edwin A. Bruenig of Los Angeles. This is a civilian model, containing but three screws in the frame, and the grips are of varnished walnut. The cylinder has the customary naval engagement scene engraved on it.
