Well known in the world of fast target accession, EOTech is now introducing new additions to their line of holographic sights. EOTech 518 and 558 sights were introduced at the 2015 SHOT Show to make it easier for operators to adjust optics.
With activation and brightness buttons located on the left sides of the optics, users can access the important adjustment buttons without interfering with flip-to-side magnifiers. Right-handed users can also activate the buttons without removing their strong hand from the pistol grip of an AR-15.
Both the EOTech 518 and 558 feature a 65 MOA ring with a 1 MOA dot and include quick detach levers that mount to 1" Weaver or 1913 rails. Both optics are powered by two AA batteries for a run time of 1000 hours with lithium batteries or 600 hours with alkaline batteries.

Night vision compatibility is the only difference between the two sights. The EOTech 518 is not night vision compatible, while the 558 is compatible with night vision devices.
The EOTech 518 is available for $539, while the 558 comes to market for $629
