The 5mm Remington Magnum is a rimfire cartridge announced in 1969, introduced in 1970, and chambered in Remington's Models 591 and 592 rifles. The original load used a 38-grain .2045-inch bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,100 fps. Though T/C later offered Contender barrels for the 5mm, the cartridge never caught on.
