One of the best parts of our job here at Guns & Ammo is the opportunity to pull the trigger on some of the coolest guns in our wonderful industry. The Desert Eagle certainly takes the cool factor to a new level, especially a titanium gold piece chambered in .50AE.
Magnum Research’s Desert Eagle Mark XIX features a titanium gold Bengal tiger stripe pattern, along with a full Picatinny rail and ambidextrous safeties, as is standard in all Desert Eagles. This bad boy retails for a cool $2,264, but it’s certainly fun to shoot, as we were quick to discover.
As if that wasn’t enough, we also got our hands on the Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX in .44 Magnum, this one featuring a brand new muzzle brake to help minimize¬† muzzle rise and recoil.
Then things got really crazy. We simply weren’t content with being bland and simple, so we got special permission from the range officers to dual-wield these massive handguns, firing one shot from each gun simultaneously. We just had to get a look at the difference.
This might look fun, but we have to strongly emphasize that you DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.
