Why You Hate That We Love Zombies

When did $1900 become a "really reasonable price point"?
When did $1950 become a "really reasonable price point"?
It's reasonably priced when it's cheaper than all the similar offerings. The labor that goes into those optics is rediculous. Compare the Leupy to the Bushnell, USO, S&B, Leupold's own Mark 8, Hensoldt, or Premiere Heritage and you'll find it is reasonably priced.
The labor? The lenses and internals are made in China, just like everyone else's, only assembly and nitrogen purging are done in the US. How many cents of that two grand went to buy rice for the political prisoners they've got chained to the machinery on the assembly line?
The glass is the ONLY part made overseas. Do you know anything about Leupold?! Have you seen their online factory tours?
All glass is cheap. the cost of all high end glass is in the coating on the glass. often it is the major difference between the bushnell hunting scope and the lupold. then you look at the machining time, new technological advancements they had to come up with to make the scope. I have personally handled the mk 8, mk 6, uso, and s&b equivellent. china can't make them better yet. there is nothing close to what these scope are now.
